FILM

I am finishing up my final year at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I've put up some of my student films here so that you can view them. Just click the images above to load the films. Or, scroll down for a more in depth introduction to each film.

Occaisionally someone hires me to help them make a film, however most of my 'for hire' work isn't fun enough to put up here. Right now, a lot of the film work I'm doing is with my sketch comedy troupe, Tremendosaur. You can check out our comedic shorts over at the comedy section of this site.

Routine

Routine is the first of four films I made for my Film Production 290 class at USC. For each film, I was given just three weeks to write, cast, shoot, and edit. Also, my professors required us to keep every film under 5 minutes, and use no dialogue.

Routine is the story of a writer who lives by a strict routine. When his schedule is thrown off by writer's block, his routine continues without him. Read more...

A Quoi ca Sert L'amour (to what end is love?)

A Quoi ca Sert L'amour is the second film I made for 290. It is based on a short animation by French designer Louis Clichy.

Day Job is my third 290 film. With the goal of taking something boring, and making it interesting, I filmed my friend Alec Owen sitting at a desk for two hours. Then, I remixed the footage, using sounds from office supplies to create musical patterns. Read more...

Betrayal

Betrayal is my fourth and final 290. As the story goes, I was putting on a sketch comedy revue during the three week period for this film. I was so busy working on the show, that three days before the film was due, I had no idea what I was going to shoot. All I knew was that I wanted to use a Cookie Monster costume that we had rented for the sketch show.

Three days later, I turned in Betrayal - a film about a guy whose girlfriend leaves him for cookie monster, and the revenge that ensues. Read more...

Clay vs. Time and Space

This was an experimental film I made for a Video Art class at the USC Roski School of Fine Arts. I wanted to do something with 'time,' so I came up with the idea of a guy (my friend Clay) who gets stuck outside of the normal flow of time and space. Read more...
